This is for anyone who is breastfeeding supporter, health professional or breastfeeding super nerd in any way!
We’ll choose a book, research paper or journal article to get our brains whirring and discussion flowing whilst we drink tea and eat snacks.

Pregnant? or Wondering how to choose a breast pump?

“Meet the pumps – and find out more about expressing milk at That Baby Place, Backwell, BS48 3NW”
“What about expressing my milk?” “What pump do I buy?”
These are common questions asked in antenatal classes, often asked by partners, keen to know where they fit in to this feeding bit.
But it’s difficult to sum up expressing breastmilk in a soundbite. Some people never do it, never need it. Some people find it is essential to establishing their milk supply, some people pump exclusively, some people might get to it sometime down the line when they want or need to be away from their baby for a bit.
The way we approach pumping and the kit we need depends on our bodies and what we are doing it for.
That Baby Place offers a unique experience. You can find out more about the physiology of expressing breast milk and you have a chance to meet many of the breast pumps that are on the market. You can hold them, press the buttons, hear the sounds they make and we’ll get you as close as we can, to trying before you buy.
